okay, that is my perfect guy (minus the cartoon-ness).  so if any of you happen to see this guy, point him in my direction. k?

so elaine and i were in the check-out line at wal-mart the other day and saw a little package of pipe cleaners.  we were pondering why they would have pipe cleaners in the check-out line -- it's not like people have a desperate need to make little pipe cleaner animals.  then we read the back of the package, which read, "keeps pipes tasting and smelling good."  elaine and i were beside ourselves trying to figure out why your pipes would need to taste good, since we had thought they were used to clean out the pipes in your house.  wow!  finally we figured out that pipe cleaners are for smokin pipes.  we were rolling on the floor!  searcy (mainly, the academy) had kept us in the dark for so long.

so i was revealing my marvelous revelation to emily today and she never knew that's what they were used for either.  then she made the astute comment, "yeah, it's like mickey mouse... i never knew he was a mouse!"  wow!  i know i was in-the-dark about pipe cleaners... but mickey mouse... are you kidding me?!

anyways, we continued the conversation by talking about smoking (while the old couple at the table next to us listened in and sent dirt looks our way).  Emily said if she ever smoked she would smoke a pipe cause that would be so cool.  i choose marijuana just to make the conversation more interesting for the old couple (i love putting on a show).

so, today was like, the best day ever! (in your best valley girl voice)  here is why today was such a good day:

1.  i got to go to all of my classes that i hate soooo much  (of course it was my last day to be in all of those dreadful classes)

2.  on my way to work this car rear-ended me and then just drove off (although i checked later and i don't think it left a mark)

3.  a boy at the daycare threw up all over the floor  (so i pulled the i'm not a mom yet and don't know how to clean up throw-up card to get dawn to clean up most of it)

4.  i had to stay late at work cause some parents don't want to pick up their children and then i had to call someone to come lock-up cause bob had taken my key the day before and hadn't given it back  (but then again i didn't have to wait on the pizza cause it was already out when i got to pizza hut)

so there you have it, best day ever.  i guess you can see the sun behind the clouds (or whatever that saying is about there being good things even though everything is bad).

christmas movie quote of the day: "that's the end of the parade anyway, all that's let after that is men cleaning up horse poop. and THAT doesn't THRILL ME at ALL."  props to whoever knows what movie that's from

Currently Listening
Merry Christmas
By Mariah Carey
see related

it's here... the time has come... it finally happened.... the moment we've all been waiting for... gas is under two dollars in searcy.  i thought the day would never come.

anyways, not much going on besides the millions of projects and papers due in the next two weeks.  oh and EMILY IS COMING BACK IN TWO DAYS!!! YAY!

So last night we watched Christmas with the Kranks to get into the Christmas spirit.  not a great movie but one with a good lesson or whatever.  after the movie we put on mariah carey's christmas c.d. and danced our hearts out.  we were organized! with back up singers, syncronized dancing (er, choreography) and everything!  we should really go on the road... we discussed the idea of making a tape but all decided that would just come back to haunt us and we all have enough of those tapes already.  anyways, christmas is coming soon... morning or night or noon, many will meet their doom... oh, wrong song.  i'm trying my hardest to forget that i'm in school and just have fun with the christmas festivities.  that being said, i'm off to do some good ole math homework. feliz navidad!

okay, so this "break" (as people call it) hasn't turned out to be quite that.  i started out saturday by working on my COMD project.  which wasn't going to be too bad.  i just had to talk to this child for as long as it took to get 100 utterances.  however, this very verbal child would not talk!  so i was there for more than an hour.  had to get up early again on sunday for church (God never gives us a break!).  monday i had an early eye appointment.  which wasn't too bad.  i found out that i get to have glasses (yay!) and make my parents spend about $300 on me so i can look gooooood.  on tuesday i had an orthodontist appointment (which is an hour away).  If only these teeth would stop moving! i thought i would actually get to sleep in a little today before leaving for our trip. but i showed my throat to my mother last night and she made me get up at 7:30 this morning so i could get it checked out.  by the way, those i have showed my throat to, it's not what ya'll said it was.... the doctor said it was completely normal and gave me some antibiotics for it.  so yay!  i've had doctors check out my whole body and they seem to think im normal and healthy... now if i could just manage to get some sleep.  i'm out
